Spiralite charm (student work) スピラライトのチャーム
Today we would like to introduce a unique type of wax model made by one of our students. A Spiralite charm!
Do you know “Spiralite”? It is a fossil shell formed in the sea over 100 million years ago. Over the years, parts of the shell has been covered in quartz druzies, making it a combination between a shell and crystal. A surprising fact is that Spiralite originates from India. Can you imagine that the Himalayan Mountains were once part of the sea?
The student then applied wax to the Spiralite, to create a charm prototype for casting. After applying the wax, you carefully peel it off, and cast the shape. We can’t wait to see what it looks like in sterling silver!
An amazing project, where only your imagination sets the limits!
Why don’t you come try it by yourself?
